Privacy Policy

In short: we collect only what is needed to take and deliver your order and to recommend lace for your fabric. We do not sell your information, we do not track your location, and you can delete your account and its data from inside the app at any time.
This policy explains how Aks Laces & Patches ("we", "us") handles your personal information in the Aks Laces & Patches mobile application ("the app") and this website.
1. Who we are
The app is operated by Aks Laces & Patches, based in Attock, Pakistan. For any privacy question, or to exercise any right described below, contact us at contactakslaces@gmail.com.
2. Information we collect
We collect the following, and only the following:

3. Information we do not collect
- We do not collect or access your device location.
- We do not access your contacts, calendar, SMS inbox or call logs.
- We do not collect advertising identifiers, and the app contains no advertising.
- We do not collect your payment card details. Payment is arranged directly with the shop.
- We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.
4. Fabric photographs — an important detail
When you upload a photograph of your fabric for analysis, the image is transmitted securely to our server and then sent to OpenAI, a third-party artificial intelligence provider, to identify the fabric's colour, texture and pattern and to suggest matching lace. This means your photograph is processed by that provider on our behalf. We do not use your photographs for advertising, and we do not sell them.
Uploaded fabric photographs are deleted from our server automatically after the analysis is complete. Please do not upload photographs containing people, documents or anything you would not want processed in this way.
5. How we use your information
- To create your account and keep you signed in.
- To recommend lace that matches the fabric you upload.
- To accept, process, pack and deliver your orders.
- To contact you about an order, or to answer a support request.
- To meet our legal and accounting obligations.
We do not use your information for automated decision-making that produces legal effects, and we do not profile you for advertising.
6. Who we share it with
We share information only with the service providers needed to run the app, and only as much as each one needs:

We never sell your personal information. We disclose information to authorities only where the law requires it.
7. How long we keep it
- Fabric photographs: deleted from our server as soon as the analysis finishes.
- Account details and order history: kept while your account exists. Deleting your account removes them.
- Order records: basic transaction records may be kept as long as tax and accounting rules require, even after account deletion.
8. Deleting your account and your data
You can delete your account inside the app at any time:
Profile → My Account → Delete Account
Deleting your account permanently removes your profile, your saved delivery address, the fabric photographs you uploaded and your order history from our active systems. Within the app, this is immediate and cannot be undone.
If you would rather we delete your data for you, or if you have already uninstalled the app, email contactakslaces@gmail.com from the address linked to your account and we will do it for you.
9. Keeping your information safe
All communication between the app and our servers is encrypted using HTTPS. Your data is stored on Google Firebase infrastructure, protected by industry-standard access controls. Access to customer data is limited to those who need it to process orders.
No system is perfectly secure. If we ever become aware of a breach affecting your information, we will tell you as required by law.
10. Children
The app is intended for adults and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
11. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have the right to:
- ask for a copy of the information we hold about you;
- ask us to correct information that is wrong;
- ask us to delete your information;
- object to, or restrict, how we use your information;
- complain to your local data protection authority.
To exercise any of these, email contactakslaces@gmail.com. We will respond within 30 days. You can also use the in-app deletion described in section 8, which is the quickest option.
12. Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle your information, we will update this page and change the date at the top. Significant changes will also be announced in the app. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated policy.
